作为中国改革开放的前沿和经济最为发达的地区，珠三角与长三角一直是学术界研究的热点。为进一步推动珠三角与长三角社会发展比较研究，香港中文大学社会学系、中山大学社会学与社会工作系、复旦大学社会学系、华东理工大学社会学系拟定于2016年11月5-6日，在华东理工大学联合举办“第六届长三角与珠三角社会发展国际研讨会”，本次会议主题是“经济转型、人口流动与社会治理”，现面向国内外同仁征集会议论文，相关事项通知如下：
一、会议时间：2016年11月5-6日
二、会议地点：中国·上海·梅陇路华东理工大学

四、 主要议题：
1.经济社会转型；
2.地方政府行为；
3.流动人口与城市化；
4.社会组织与社会治理；
5.区域比较理论与方法；
6.珠、长三角与中国其他区域的比较研究；
7.其他有关议题。
六、时间安排：
1. 2016年9月1日之前，请将论文全文或摘要发给会务组，会务组将会对会议论文进行初步筛选；
2. 2016年9月10日之前，论文入选者将会收到会议邀请函以及详细会议通知。
提示：摘要与论文请发到sunzhwei@ecust.edu.cn的邮箱；论文为中文或英文均可接受，大会组委会将对论文进行编辑整理，会前印刷成论文集（如不方便公开，请注明）。

The Sixth International Conference on Social Development in Pearl River Delta and Yangtze River Delta
Economic Transformation, Migration and Social Governance
5-6 November, 2016
East China University of Science and Technology
As the frontiers of the economic reform and the most developed areas in China, Pearl River Delta (PRD) and Yangtze River Delta (YRD) have received much scholarly attention. In order to promote the comparative studies on these two areas, the Sociology Departments of Chinese University of Hong Kong, Fudan University, East China University of Science and Technology, and the Sociology and Social Work Department of Sun Yat-sen University will jointly hold “The Sixth International Conference on Social Development in Pearl River Delta and Yangtze River Delta” in the campus of East China University of Science and Technology on 5-6, November, 2016. The major theme is “Economic Transformation, Migration and Social Governance”, and the main focuses will be as follows (but not limited to):
· Economic and social transformations in PRD and YRD
· Act of local governments in PRD and YRD
· Floating population and urbanization in PRD and YRD
· Social organization and social governance PRD and YRD
· Theory and method of regional comparative study
· Comparative studies on PRD, YRD and other areas of China
· Other social issues in PRD and YRD

Conference Costs:
Conference Fees: NO conference fees will be charged.
Accommodation and Food: Two nights of accommodation (November 4-5) and food during the conference will be provided for free by the conference.
Transportation costs: Transportation between your home institution and Shanghai will be at your own cost.
